NBA 2k12

Just last week NBA 2k released their new product and the newer version of the NBA 2k series, which is NBA 2k12. Honestly at first when I had first heard about the game, it was said that gameplay could not be matched from 2k11. But that's total BS! 2k12 is simply amazing. 2k has definitely bumped it up and made new improvements on the smaller and larger parts of the game. I'm just gonna list them down for you:

Intro Video:
The intro video is sick! I'm not gonna spoil anything, but if you have not seen the video yet look at the video down below. The song brings the video to life.

Menu showcase:
Once you're at the main menu it does not only show only a quick game option but it shows the important features of the game. It still shows a quick game option but it also displays NBA Association, 2k account, NBA's Greatest, and of course My Player.

Quick game:
When you choose to play a quick game you will see many new things. First the starting the line-ups presentation. It shows two styles to showcase the starting line-ups which is showing pictures of the 5 players that are starting and showing the back court players/ big man/ and your forwards. It only displays a intro video of players which is a pretty new thing that has been added.

NBA's Greatest:
Last year in 2k11 you had challenges only for Jordan to unlock shoes or achievements. This time 15 players have been chosen to display NBA's Greatest. What you have to do is that you choose a player and you have to use your team to beat the opposing team. Once you have beaten that team, which is not easy, not only will you unlock the opposing team but the original team you used to beat them.

My Player:
A couple of new things were added for My Player option. One is that you don't have go all the trouble of summer games and pre-season stuff. What you have to do is play a 32 minute game where you have to play rookies who are also trying to get in the NBA. Tip: play good and you will be a top prospect.

Shoe game:
What can I say about the shoe showcase for this game? It is F*****g amazing! Not only does it show the shoes being used today like the hyperdunk/hyperfuse 2011 but also shoes used back in the day. For example for Lebron and Kobe, they have had many versions of their shoes. In the game it showcases all their used ever made. Now in the game when you go to the Jordan option for shoes it wont show the Jordan number sneaker collection, but with this code you can unlock them once again and the code is 23. The also neat thing they added is nikeid and it is a option where shoes have been chosen for you to customize and can be worn by players and for your own My Player.

Final words:
Get the game! If you still have 2k10 or 2k11 trade it in at your locale Gamestop store. It's really worth your money today. I still have yet to unlock all the greatest teams but i'll get there.

Concords 11s

Jingle bells jingle bells Concords all the way! In two months its gonna be Christmas which is usually a big day for Jordan brand because they release their top shoe of the year to end the year with a bang. Well supposedly in December three Jordan shoes are set to release. Two shoes that are confirmed to release are the Last Shot 14s (which I'll make a post about) and the Concord 11s. The other shoe not confirmed yet is the Doernbecher 4 which is rumored to be released in the Holidays 2011 most likely in December. But going back to the main shoe of this post, the Air Jordan Concord 11. If you look at the photos below brought to you by Marqueesole, there's definitely new things on the shoe that were changed. Some history of the Concord 11:
- It was first released in 1995 and the price was probably really low like $90?
- It was then retroed and release in 2000
- Jordan wore during the 95-96 season DUHHH!

But this shoe is confirmed to release. One thing that is different about the shoe is that the new thing about Jordans if they had clear soles before and that is the blue "icy" sole. Honestly I don't really like how it looks on the Concords this year. The only time I really liked the blue soles is on the 2010 Cool Grey 11s. The other thing also new about the shoe is the jumpman logos on the side. All the jumpman logos on the shoe will face the same way and wont be inverted like the 95' and 2000 Concords. The release date for this shoe is on December 23, 2011 and the price for the Concords is $180 plus tax (depending where you live). Should you cop this shoe? For me I'm passing on this shoe just because of the blue soles. It doesn't really go well with the shoe. I'd rather find one and spend more on a 2000 pair than on this pair but I might change my mind, who knows really. But if you need a new pair then its definitely a shoe you should definitely buy and maybe stock on. My advice in getting the shoe is to camp out. Bring friends and don't be alone. Always think ahead and plan on how you're gonna get the shoe. Or ask for the shoe for your Christmas gift haha if you're lucky. If you have noticed in 2009 space jams were released, then 2010 it was the cool greys, now in 2011 its gonna be the concords, what will next year's 11s will be? Breds? Columbias? 2011 True Blue 3s To Release Again?!

Not exactly...haha. I got a phone call just last night about these shoes from someone who works at Nike Factory Stores. Supposedly there are still pairs still out at retail stores and B-grade pairs that weren't sold. So supposedly this weekend your local Nike Factory store is to have some pairs lying around. Of course you're gonna need luck and patience, which is all part of the shoe game, to find a pair. As for the pricing, I'm not really sure how much they will be sold. But if you actually want to pair a better pair and you're willing to put more cash down then visit these two websites:

Graphite 14s

What the heck is that?! Well its a new Jordan 14 colorway that will be added to the collection of a wide variety of 14 colorways. Honestly I thought this shoe's colorway would suck before the photos were leaked but I was wrong. Once I saw the photos leaked for this shoe I was amazed. Its a very simple colorway but has a very unique colorway in some points. The colors of the shoe are black, white, gray, and graphite blue. I believe this type of blue has not been used on any Jordan shoe yet till now. Its not your usual royal blue on your space jams, ice blue on your 10s, or stealth colorway on various Jordan shoes. The combination of the colors that are put on the shoe is very nicely well put. When you look at the photos, the base of the shoe is gray which will most likely feature swede material, if not then it'll be nubuck material. On the bottom will feature a white base and on the jumpman the color will be the graphite 14. Its truly a winter colorway shoe. That means Christmas is right around the color which means asking Santa for new pair of jordans. But back to the shoe, should you cop this shoe? I say yes. Its a very simple shoe that has unique features in it. You never know if you pass on this shoe it might be retroed in a couple of years or so. Black Cement 3s!

Honestly in my opinion, this shoe has been highly anticipated for the last two years when it was first rumored and then it became official just this year. Many people having been waiting to get a pair of these babies. If you missed at getting a pair from the countdown package, because the price was ridiculous, well now is your chance to finally get a pair. For many people this shoe alone is either they're favorite Jordan shoe of all time or they're favorite colorway of the 3s. Now there's a catch in this shoe and that is from the release date. The release date is November 25, 2011. If you mark your calendars you'll notice, on that day is black friday. Lightbulb just went off! Hella people will be in line already as early as 9:00 PM the day before. They might not be waiting to open the malls to buy these shoes but you're local shoeheads and hypebeast will be camping out for them. My advice go online but there might be a big chance the site will crash or pre-order them. Preferably shop online on Finishline. Other helpful trick is that if you have hook ups or friends that work at shoe retail stores tell them to hook it up. Of course there's always the waiting game but you'll need luck. If you get your pair, well damn you succeeded. The other years that this shoe came out was 2011 and when the countdown package came out. I wish that it had nike air on the back but it would defeat the purpose of it being retroed. The price of these shoe will be $160 plus tax (depending where you currently live).
